Be Patient

"Love is patient, love is kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

Relationships are fun, but they can be hard work. Girls these days have all these high expectations of what their relationship should be like. They have these high expectations of how they should be treated. Don't get me wrong, a lady should always have high standards and never settle for less, but so many girls are focused on what a relationship is like based off some picture they saw on the internet. A relationship is about give and take, learning to love through the flaws, communication, trust, vulnerability, and a relationship with Christ. If you don't have any of that in your relationship, then it's not going to work. Relationships aren't just about cuddling up on a rainy day, or staying in watching movies instead of going out with friends, like all these pictures portray. Girls, when you're in a bad mood and you mistreat your boyfriend, you don't deserve flowers and chocolate because he feels bad y'all got into a fight. If anyone deserves anything, he deserves an apology for the way you treated him, and vice versa. If you decide to buy presents to end an argument instead of talk it out, then it'll be a long hard road.

Don't ever settle for less than you deserve, but also, don't set your standards so high that you wait around for Prince Charming from some fairy tale movie. Good guys are out there, you just have to be patient and wait for them. Be wise in your decisions and in the words that you say, because once you say them or put them on the internet, you can never get them back.
